Biography

Attorney Cathe R. Evans Williams is a Joliet native, seasoned attorney, and business owner with more than 30 years of experience both practicing law and operating her own firm. She entered the private practice of law in Chicago, Illinois in 1996 and built her early career handling family law, real estate, estate planning, probate, bankruptcy, business formation, and business litigation matters. That broad foundation gives her a deep understanding of the legal and personal challenges families and business owners face.

Today, Attorney Evans Williams has intentionally transitioned away from litigation to focus exclusively on estate planning, trust administration, and business formation. She is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and entrepreneurs build strong legal foundations that protect assets, transfer wealth effectively, and preserve generational legacies. She views estate planning not simply as drafting documents, but as a meaningful process of aligning family values, financial goals, and long-term community impact.

Attorney Evans Williams is admitted to practice law as a member of the Illinois Bar and the General Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a graduate of DePaul University and the University of Illinois College of Law. In recognition of her leadership and service, she was selected as one of the 2014 Chicago Defender Women of Excellence, and in 2020 her firm received the SSSBA Small Business Leader of the Year Award for 2019.

Passionate about education and empowerment, Attorney Evans Williams regularly provides estate planning seminars, equipping individuals and families with the knowledge and tools necessary to secure their futures and strengthen their family and community legacies
